In January 2017 Roger W, Roger G and Jayne went for a visit to Swavesey allotments to check out their new composting toilet which was funded with a grant. Manea allotment association committee did consider if this might be something we could do at Manea. We were very impressed by the whole site at Swavesey which also included rabbit and deer fencing surrounding the whole site meaning that each plot did not need to have fencing around it. Swavesey are also lucky enough to have water on tap. Manea are exploring ways we might have water more readily available for plot holders to access and 2018 will hopefully see a communal water harvesting point. Watch this space...
